Also - everyone who relies on you gets less of you. (Even though it should be enough to remind you that you suffer, it usually means more when I remind you the people around you suffer too.) It’s more convenient to put ourselves last after our loved ones - when we really need to be putting ourselves first, for the benefit of all.
